Sleepmaker Waves Pro App Reviews

Very good app. My favorite effect is the heavy surf with strong wind. The sound of a steady ocean swell helps to quickly ease and empty ones mind cluttered by the stresses of the day. Sleep comes sooner and lasts most of the night. More choices with the wind as a partner would be nice.

I have no beaches near where I live (AR) Some of my friends have never even seen the beach in real life! I just LOVE this Waves app and falling asleep to it (ive gor the other Rain and Storm app too) This is the best one yet! Download it - The sounds are actual surfs and waves etc. 5 Stars!

I live about 3 hours from the pacific ocean and I am not there nearly as much as Id like. This app helps me feel like Im there when I cant be. It is PERFECT! Download and see for yourselves. Dani

Good when it worked, but messed my syncs and shut down my iPhone sometimes.

The app has many different types of waves, varying in intensity and location (beach, rocks, etc.). Many of them sound similar enough that if youre not a real sound connoisseur, youd probably be satisfied with the lite version. But if your moods are sufficiently nuanced that you want just the right waves at just the right moment, then this app is for you. My only complaint, which is true for all the Sleepmaker apps, is that the selection wheel disappears as soon as you make your choice, not giving you enough time to examine other options. You have to touch it to get it back. So if youre "surfing" through the sounds looking for one you like at the moment, then you need constantly to touch the screen over and over. Otherwise, I like this app and all their others, too.

I have several of these apps as I have trouble sleeping and I have found that soft music or background sounds help me a great deal. What I like about this particular app is that it gives you a variety of ocean sounds. They are also high quality and appear to be so well looped that I cannot tell where the loop begins or ends. Well worth the price if these sounds are useful to you.

Some of the ocean ones sound more like white noise. I would like to hear lite rain with thunder and a train whistle lite in the background.

Love this app. Buying the others as well. Love that they are real recordings. Not high bit rates but at least they are real sounds.

Its super annoying to play the next song! Please add a botton to play the next song right away!

This is the best $$$$ Ive spent on an app yet. The sound quality is professional and top notch. Put the headphones on and sleep like a baby! Beautiful!

I fall a sleep,everynight to the ocean sounds. I feel Like ,I am at the ocean-its so soothing. I have been waiting and looking for these paticular sounds. Alwsome!!!!!

I know this sounds stupid but this is one of my favorite apps. All it does is play the sounds of waves but if thats all youve been looking for & they do it so well, there you go. Ive been looking for the perfect wave CD for literally years. But they all force strange music or other noises or synthesizers on you. Or their recordings sound more like a dishwasher than the ocean. This app is perfect because it is "all waves, all the time" yet better than a CD because you can choose between a LOT of variations (different sound files, not synthesized). AND you can set the time. Just great!

This is one of my "must have" apps. Once iOS4 multitasking came online, I upgraded!

I dont know if its just me, if its the fact that Im an audiophile, I dont know what, but apparently I have VERY GOOD pattern recognition skills.I tried to use these to go to sleep, and after awhile I had to keep changing the sound b/c I can recognize that some of the music not only has an audible loop point, but that the sounds clips that are looping are only a FEW SECONDS LONG! Most of them are not even 10 seconds! How hard is it to make a clip a few minutes long so we can actually listen to it without HEARING the loop!

I like the concept, but there are periodic annoying short clicks in one of the heavy waves cuts that Ive tried, which are possibly poorly matched splice points. Another heavy waves cut has periodic brief sound gaps, which render it unusable for sleeping. As an insomniac I need heavy ocean wave cuts that contain no discernible splices. Ive already played around with recording and editing a short test water flowing loop of my own, so I know how painstaking it can be to match the splices. From that standpoint I give the developer good marks for getting quite a bit of it right, but I must have good splicing quality on any cuts that I will use for sleeping. Despite my quibbles though, the price for the Pro version is fine. Hopefully a subsequent version will replace the poorly spliced tracks.

This app is disappointing! Upgraded to it and it does not work! It will play the sounds for a few minutes but when the phone fades out the song shuts off! Free version works better! Dont even want to give it one star!

1) Theres no real difference in the free version and the pay version. 2) Theres no way to delay the start. 3) Ive emailed twice over 6 months and have never received a reply. Save your money. Get a free deal.

Just wanted you to know that your Sleepmaker Rain Pro refuses to download on my iPhone 4s. I saw that most of your Sleepmaker apps were free for Mothers Day, so I downloaded all that I could, except Rain Pro wont download from the app store, and not sure if it has anything to do with the screenshots never loading. I would love to have Rain Pro to add to my collection. Thanks in advance.

Rain Pro will not load on my 4th Gen. iPod with a iOS 5.1.1. Please fix!
