Sleepmaker Waves Pro app good for
Very good app. My favorite effect is the heavy surf with strong wind. The sound of a steady ocean swell helps to quickly ease and empty ones mind cluttered by the stresses of the day. Sleep comes sooner and lasts most of the night. More choices with the wind as a partner would be nice.
I have no beaches near where I live (AR) Some of my friends have never even seen the beach in real life! I just LOVE this Waves app and falling asleep to it (ive gor the other Rain and Storm app too) This is the best one yet! Download it - The sounds are actual surfs and waves etc. 5 Stars!
I live about 3 hours from the pacific ocean and I am not there nearly as much as Id like. This app helps me feel like Im there when I cant be. It is PERFECT! Download and see for yourselves.

The app has many different types of waves, varying in intensity and location (beach, rocks, etc.). Many of them sound similar enough that if youre not a real sound connoisseur, youd probably be satisfied with the lite version. But if your moods are sufficiently nuanced that you want just the right waves at just the right moment, then this app is for you. My only complaint, which is true for all the Sleepmaker apps, is that the selection wheel disappears as soon as you make your choice, not giving you enough time to examine other options. You have to touch it to get it back. So if youre "surfing" through the sounds looking for one you like at the moment, then you need constantly to touch the screen over and over. Otherwise, I like this app and all their others, too.
I have several of these apps as I have trouble sleeping and I have found that soft music or background sounds help me a great deal. What I like about this particular app is that it gives you a variety of ocean sounds. They are also high quality and appear to be so well looped that I cannot tell where the loop begins or ends. Well worth the price if these sounds are useful to you.
Love this app. Buying the others as well. Love that they are real recordings. Not high bit rates but at least they are real sounds.
Some bad moments
Good when it worked, but messed my syncs and shut down my iPhone sometimes.
Some of the ocean ones sound more like white noise. I would like to hear lite rain with thunder and a train whistle lite in the background.
Its super annoying to play the next song! Please add a botton to play the next song right away!
I dont know if its just me, if its the fact that Im an audiophile, I dont know what, but apparently I have VERY GOOD pattern recognition skills.I tried to use these to go to sleep, and after awhile I had to keep changing the sound b/c I can recognize that some of the music not only has an audible loop point, but that the sounds clips that are looping are only a FEW SECONDS LONG! Most of them are not even 10 seconds! How hard is it to make a clip a few minutes long so we can actually listen to it without HEARING the loop!
This app is disappointing! Upgraded to it and it does not work! It will play the sounds for a few minutes but when the phone fades out the song shuts off! Free version works better! Dont even want to give it one star!
1) Theres no real difference in the free version and the pay version. 2) Theres no way to delay the start. 3) Ive emailed twice over 6 months and have never received a reply.
